NeoCargo is a company that emerged from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and whose shareholders are mostly partners from the Elvis cargo cooperation. This digital networking platform for medium-sized forwarding and transport companies aims to improve and simplify communication and information exchange in the logistics industry.
The main function of the NeoCargo platform is to connect all connected users with the help of a data converter. This converter enables a standardized exchange of order and vehicle data and provides information about the order status.
In addition, NeoCargo plans to analyze historical data to identify patterns in shipments and evaluate order and vehicle data. An algorithm will then be used to make suggestions for follow-up orders from various order pools. Co-founder and Chief Sales Officer, Larissa Eger, sees an opportunity in creating data standards and pooling information to improve data quality. In her view, greater efficiency across company boundaries requires reducing complexity in the organization.
She notes that the information content from vehicle telematics data and transportation management systems is very similar between different vendors and users. Eger argues that this information could be better utilized through standardization.
NeoCargo is always on the lookout for new recruits and provides regular updates on developments in their software and other relevant topics in their news section. They also offer a newsletter for those who want to stay up to date on their activities. The company, which was founded in December 2021, aims to digitize the logistics industry and simplify the awarding of freight contracts.
